President's Address
Greetings All,
We have reached the end of March! With the beginning of April tomorrow, I am excited
to announce Staff Appreciation Week coming April 21 - 25! Note this is a little later than previously announced; please
update your calendars with these fun events to celebrate you, our amazing staff!
On Monday we will host tours of Tiger Stadium. Tour space is limited, so don't wait to register! There will be a waitlist, so if
you are waitlisted, keep your eyes on your email to see if space opens up.
You can sign up here:

Tuesday, we will host the tailgate outside Alex Box where the Tigers will take on Northwestern. Campus Federal Credit Union will be cooking
jambalaya, and we will have cookie cake and t-shirts for staff. Following the tailgate,
you can enjoy the baseball game, courtesy of LSU Athletics!
Wednesday, we are encouraging Deans and Department Heads to celebrate their staff. Be on the lookout for communication from your individual units.
Thursday, we will host the crawfish boil on the Parade Ground! Come out at 4 p.m. and enjoy the afternoon with your peers.
Friday, we will host an ice cream social at the AgCenter Dairy Store. Come enjoy a scoop of ice cream from 2 - 4 p.m. to get you through the Friday afternoon.
Finally, we will be celebrating outstanding individual staff members throughout the week when we announce the winners of our Staff Stripes Award! I will
deliver awards to the winners in person throughout the week and share on social media.
You can nominate your peers via the nomination form until Wednesday, April 16.
In other news, I know there is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding the budget and
all the ambiguity that comes with changing directives and strategies. I don't have
any new information to share with you at this time, but Staff Senate continues to
meet with our administration and monitor the situation. As we learn more about what
these changes mean for you and your daily work, we will share that with you.
Lastly, as we are all here to support our students, one of our graduate students needs
parents to take a brief survey to better understand the mental load parenting and
managing a household takes on us. So, if you are a parent with at least one child
under 18 years old living at home, please consider taking this survey. Personally, I am happy to help anyone research the mental load we carry and develop
tools and resources that may eventually help ease that load!
I look forward to seeing y'all out there for Staff Appreciation Week!
Be safe. Be well. And Geaux Tigers.
Olivia
