Michael Dobrin
Associate Director for Residential Operations

I became an RA because I had a terrible experience living with my roommates in my
freshman year. As I got more involved on campus through that experience, I realized
how much I appreciate the opportunities a college environment provides students to
grow and learn about themselves, and I wanted to continue working in that capacity.
Now, I get to recruit staff who have a genuine interest in supporting our students
and also build and enhance processes that ultimately impact our students' experiences
in their residence halls.

If I didn’t have this job, I would:
I would love to work in wildlife conservation/rehabilitation!
One thing you learned living on campus
Communication is key! If you have a problem with something or someone in your experience, nothing is going to change if you don't have a conversation about it. And I mean talking to the person the concern is with/about, not expecting someone else to solve the problem for you.
Favorite line of the LSU Alma Mater

I just love nature and am a bit of a plant dad.
